22.2.10 Race Dog

Following rehearsals and test audiences in January, Danish mask company Theatret Thalias Tjenere's latest show is ready to venture out of the kennels... 'Race Dog' is a visually explosive action-comedy set in the dog eat dog world of canine competitions. Bolette is the beautiful princess of the pedigree pug pooches. Ralf is a greyhound whose racing career has gone to the dogs. Will it be love at first sniff?
The show, with a new score by Loz, opens at the Musikhuset in Århus, Denmark at 5 pm on March the 2nd. It goes on to the International Festival of Theatre for Children and Young People the following month. 'Den Store Bastian' is still in Thalia's repertoire as well, and will be performed at the Danish+ Festival and the Black and White Festival in Finland.
11.1.10 FB&TV: Hypothermia

Loz is delighted to be working with Full Body and the Voice again on their latest show 'Hypothermia'. Rehearsals began on the 11th of January on this exciting and challenging script by Vannessa Brooks. 'Hypothermia' opens at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield on the 3rd of February, then playing the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough on the 19th and 20th February. It will tour further in the autumn of 2010.
Oskar lives in the state hospital in Andernach, Germany. He keeps the other patients in order, sings and tends to a fine collection of plants in the conservatory. In the bleak winter of 1940, a dark visitor arrives.Two holes are dug in the ice of a frozen lake. Oskar has a decision to make... To live... or to die.
6.11.09 Veil CD Release
Horse + Bamboo present the long awaited Veil soundtrack composed by Loz Kaye. Veil captures the epic sweep of Horse + Bamboo's production - two continents - two generations divided by war, but bound together by fate. Loz Kaye's music spans these worlds exploring the thrilling sound of arabic music, but giving it a powerfully rhythmic contemporary setting. It features Loz on vocals, flutes, trumpet, keyboards, percussion and programming and arabic vocals and narration by Faliha Kadhim.
The CD is priced at 5 pounds and can be ordered from Horse + Bamboo theatre.
The first track from the CD is 'There Was a Great King' and is available for streaming on Soundcloud. There is an on-line bonus track 'Wearing Black' which can be downloaded free.
